Section 5

This Section 5 is not personal testimonies from Apostles of the Second Coming. 

It brings you some historical background material that I thought would be valuable.

First is a map of Korea showing significant locations mentioned in the testimonies.

The first article summarizes the circumstances of Christianity in North Korea and the history of church persecutions and revelations during the Japanese occupation of Korea (1905-45).

The second article, Unification Church History, will offer a look at how Christianity in Korea was prepared by God as the new Chosen Nation where He would send His Son, the Savior, the Messiah, i.e. The Second Coming of Christ. 

The Protestant Reformation started by Martin Luther went on for 400 years after the Catholic Church fell into severe corruption. God wanted to prepare the Christian world for the coming of his son and hoped that Christianity would be united.

Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. After 400 years, there was only disunity in Christianity and Protestantism. 

Failure and faithlessness leads to suffering circumstances and World War 1 resulted. It was the “war to end all wars.” 

God was looking for unity after four years of war so there would be a foundation to send His Son. Unfortunately unity did not materialize. God’s Son was born on January 6, 1920. Jesus anointed him on April 17, 1935. 

World War 2 came on the heels of the failures of World War 1. In the midst of Japanese domination over Korea, God’s Son grew up and prepared himself for his worldwide mission which is related in the earlier parts of this book. 

The third article is a reflection by a church leader, A Meaningful 30 Years, 1954- 1984, over the history of the first 30 years of the Holy Spirit Association for the Unification of World Christianity. This gives details on many of the accomplishments of the movement which are not generally covered in the testimonies in this book.
