WELCOME TO THE APOSTLES' TESTIMONY OF THE SECOND COMING
WELCOME TO THE APOSTLES' TESTIMONY OF THE SECOND COMING
Imagine you could sit at the feet of the early Apostles of Jesus Christ and listen to their testimonies.
They would tell stories about how they met Jesus and what they experienced from him. They could explain why they followed him in faith.
You would want to know how they could recognize that he was the long awaited Messiah in the flesh.
Did they have experiences of dreams and visions? Did Heavenly Father, or angels, or their ancestors testify to Jesus?
Did they struggle a lot to have faith in him or was it easy for them? Surely many of them could not accept Jesus easily, especially if they were faithful Jews.
Once they accepted Jesus, what was the reaction of their parents and spouses, their friends and co-workers? How were they treated by the other Jews in their local society? What kind of persecution did they have to endure?
What was daily life like following Jesus? What was he like on a personal level? How was he different from other people? What did he ask them to do day after day to help save others?
All these things and more are lost to history from 2,000 years ago.
Fortunately, today we have many testimonies from the Apostles of Christ at his Second Coming. Reading their testimonies, we can more easily imagine what life with Jesus must have been like as well.
Of course, the readings in this book are just the tiniest fraction of the experiences of the early disciples with the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, but these testimonies can help us imagine what a daily life of faith must have been like. These testimonies help us build a connection to Christ to support our own faith. By better understanding what the Messiah and his followers endured, we can better connect to his heart, his love for us, and his relationship with our Heavenly Father.
My prayer is that this book will give you strength to endure your challenges, inspiration in times of struggle, and support to continue to grow in faith.
The Lord has come again and God’s Love and Truth are available as never before.
In the course of time all will be revealed and everyone able to recognize it. And God’s Kingdom will be established on this earth.
NOTE TO READERS: Throughout this book Rev. Moon is often referred to as “Teacher” or “Master” in the early days. Later after his marriage, he is referred to as “True Father” or just simply “Father.”
